One particularly annoying person -- who is one of our regularly callers who is so lefty that she thinks Sen. Bernie Sanders is barely tolerable -- kept asking me "What is Jeff Merkley going to do about this?"

I answered three or four times, but she kept repeating, so I finally asked "You mean, the Senator personally?"

Her response: "Yes. Personally. He's responsible for this since it's in Oregon."

"Well ... I suppose the Navy could drop him to the bottom of the Pacific with a couple drums of Superglue ... "
