I am so sorry.

A co-worker had a boyfriend default on a card she let him use that was in her name & she had to use one of those companies that help you get rid of the debt by you not paying and they negotiate the debt & consolidation & re-payment on your behalf

Her credit suffered horribly & it was super hard - but she's in the clear now after several years and re-building her credit very well.
