No, it really is not. We live in Manitoba. We all know that Manitoba has snow storms. Nothing that is closing the highways, but...

...Makes travel difficult. She and her husband chose to live an hour outside of the city and work here and that's fine, but if they allow that to affect their reliablity, the company needs to consider that. She's a good worker with good potential, but her job is important and we need her in the office everyday.

Today's absence is inexcusable. It is bright, sunny, and the snow stopped yesterday afternoon making the highways plowed. If it is slippery, drive slow and get in at ten instead of eight.

Or live in the city like the rest of the staff do. The ones that show up.
