I can admit that I don't call as much as I should. I've tried a few times in the past but it wasn't reciprocated so I got annoyed and stopped calling.
I'm probably being left out because I don't have kids. They have a couple of kids each and I have cats. Who knows. They probably figured I wouldn't want to go or couldn't take the time to get away.
What's bothering me is that I didn't get a call at all to even see if I could come down for a day or two. I couldn't do a whole week but I could do a day or two, no problem.
I would have loved to see my brother and his kids. Oh well.
I really appreciate your sharing your experience and the advice. Thank you!
