not that it matters, but my parents live in Wisconsin so for them to visit it is a 3-4 hour drive. It's not as if they're in the area. I'm not

social like that, even with my family so I too put some of it on my own shoulders. If anything, Facebook has made it worse because now we see things they do with my sister's family or we get thinly veiled comments about how they don't hear from us. On the flip side, when we send out 6 months in advance a list of "Here's the things our kids are doing (shows, etc)" 9/10 they're "busy" already with other plans.
Family sucks :)
