...A softer approach on that.
Now, if it begins to be a chronic issue (once a month or greater), then it once again goes to reliablity of the employee and as a manager, I have to take a harder line.
Responses:
I don't care if people beg off because their kids are sick. I really dislike when companies allow them to use sick time for this.

Well, technically, they don't have the right to more than one "family leave" type day per year according to Manitoba labour law, so no, they are not..
