I work from the basis that all political parties, and all politicians are inherently full of shit and will say anything to get elected.

So objectively, I don't buy into any political line from anyone.
Anyway, listening to the noise from the edges is pointless. And basing opinions on one side based on the noise coming from the edges is even more pointless. Elections are won in the middle. I think it's perhaps indicative that even when an upstanding person like Obama can't move the needle in terms of helping the down trodden move closer to the American dream, that candidates like Trump find traction...and speaks to his unintended failure to enact his rhetoric.
