Waller County (TX) DA says it is too soon to rule death of black woman in police custody as suicide.

Not sure if this story has been posted here. To summarize the high level facts that we seem to know (and obviously a lot has yet to be sorted):

Sandra Black of Chicago recently accepted a job back at her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University. She was pulled over in TX Friday for allegedly failing to use her turn signal to change lanes. She wound up being arrested for alleged assault on a public servant (there is at least some video of her encounter with police taken by a bystander but not sure it captures the whole encounter. Police cruiser video exists AFAIK but has not been released)

Around 9am Monday morning she was found dead in the jai. Local police said it was suicide by hanging. Her family disputed that.

Just now the Waller Co DA said it is too soon to treat as suicide and that it will (at least for now) be treated as a murder investigation
