I'll say this about Ant-Man, one of its negatives is that it SPECTACULARLY fails the Bechdel test. (spoils)

Hope Pym is on the board of Pym Tech, but beyond that she demonstrates no knowledge of tech, offers no input on science and does next to nothing except teach Lang how to fight better. She's there to be a love interest for him and a thing to be protected by her father and a thing to be controlled by Cross.

The only other woman with lines is Scott's ex. When their kid is in danger it's the new fiance that does the protecting, not her.

Oh, and Peggy Carter at the beginning who was the lone woman in the room when Pym confronts Stark and Carson.

There were plenty of opportunities to include women, but they were not taken. Scott's crew is all male but didn't need to be. The Hydra agents: All male. The guy Cross liquefies in the bathroom didn't need to be a guy. The Baskin Robbins manager didn't need to be a guy. Or the idiot customer. Female roles in the film were sparse. I count 4 named parts (excluding the kid) for women.

If Hope is Wasp in the next couple MCU films, that may improve the MCU's Bechdel score, unless she and Widow just trade quips about Thor's abs.
