mounting my tv on the wall. the thing (furniture item) under the TV is 52" wide and there's plenty of wall space on either side.
I think I want 60" but I could fit 65". in terms of overwhelming the room, how much tv is too much tv?

The 60" would likely be most excellent. I'm with groiny in thinking the 65" might be a scootch too big.

more info: your average 60" tv is about 54" wide and a 65 is 58ish inches. also, the only reason I am considering 65
