No one here will call in sick because you have to have a doctor's excuse to do so (ludicrous) and in our insurance has become crap over the last couple of years so to go to the doctor to get an excuse for your sniffles it costs you $80-$100. Easier to go in to work and infect everyone.
It's madness, but if you're going to get your sick time mentioned on your review or see it be cause for disciplinary action, there's no sense in taking it unless you have a real legitimate illness that forces you to go to the doc.
