i knew it was a RIDE stop, obviously, and i was driving very slowly. But i, literally, didn't SEE the actual cop till he was beside my car. I was crawling in speed, and i stopped immediately.

i rolled down the window and he said something like "um, would you care to tell me why you didn't stop when i raised my hand?"

I replied "because there are a thousand flashing lights and you were literally invisible, i'm very sorry, i saw you once my car inched past you."

He said "yeah, that's happened to a few people."

And all was fine.
