In response to "I've been eating the biggest ripest juiciest plums ever all week long" by con_carne

I don't think I've had meat in almost a week. All my fave produce is in season. I've been eating plums, black grapes,pluots. cherries, raspberries

the 2nd round of California strawberries, and now the nectarines, peaches, blackberries and apricots are just coming into season. We live in a great place for fruit--Idaho has the most fantastic grapes growing all around us, Right now I'm getting seedless black grapes as big as pigeon eggs for 99 cents a pound, we're less than 200 miles from the Wenatchee Valley in Washington, not much further from the Skagit Valley in Washington and about 12 hours from Northern california. Yummy.

I'm not off meat all together, tomorrow we're having antelope (pronghorn) burgers and I have an elk roast in the freezer for Sunday. (long story, somebody remind me and I'll tell it in the next day or so)
