Although you can do it with two people and you can solo sections.

I think at least three people are really recommended, and of course it works best with six.
Jax shouldn't be worried about being carried. I think I was on my first time through hard mode. I've since helped carry people through. 4-5 34's can get it done with another lower level player even if they die at the beginning of each section.
