but that's what happened when one Gwar member was recruited to participate in the popular speaking series. Appearing at a TEDx conference in the metal band's native Richmond, Virginia, bassist/singer Michael "Blothar" Bishop delivered a unique, moving and, at times, insane speech concerning regional identity.
