But the smackdown I get every time I try to suggest that what's going on is bullshit would seem to suggest that I am obligated to put up with it.

Because if I suggest something the protesters are doing isn't right...I get some sarcastic response about how their oppression is affecting my commute home or some ridiculous comment referencing the white people that don't even live in the area being offended.
Protesters tried to shut down a fucking interstate yesterday at rush hour. But if I were to bitch about that, I'd be reminded that it's their right to do and I just have to shut up and deal with it.
So, yeah...it is very much implied that I'm obligated to put up with it.
And sure, "let's start sharing the benefits" I'm 100% all for that. But in the meantime, I have to worry about whether or not these assholes are gonna decide that school buses in my neighborhood make a really nice target.
