Any event of this magnitude has distractions. Managing those distractions is exactly how sides win the battles/war.

Mike Brown's face in any form is a losing battle whereas the NYC case, the SC case, the Cincy case...those are winning battles in the context of the movement can change minds.
As long as one side thinks Mike Brown was a catalyst and continues to fight his case, they're going to lose becuase Mike Brown's case was a losing case.
This isn't the 'law'. It's society. They operate on 2 different planes that intersect but are not the same.
