I don't know how to rate this.
I haven't seen the Gibson ones (shame on me?), so I'm not sure if they are supposed to tie in at all, but I think that they have to, due to the absolute lack of plot and character development at the start of the film. I felt a touch lost, but then again, I don't think there's a rich story background here.
The stunts and action sequences were fucking phenomenal, so that portion gets a massive endorsement.
Also the audio mixing sucked. How fucking hard is it to make sure that normal conversation is audible while ensuring that action sequences don't shake your foundation at the same volume setting?
Overall, I'll stick with the B.
