buy the buff for one mote of light from Iron Banner guy

take the bounties from him

when you have enough glimmer, buy the shader and iron banner emblem. each of them give you a 10% bonus to XP earned in Iron Banner. Also buy the class item when you can as well.

At level 4, you get boots. You will be good to go.
