I think looking at this from the attorney angle is not a real world situation in this particular case.

people die and then the rest of the family goes god damn nuts - did he likely have an oral agreement that the man's wife who was handling affairs didn't know about? or is he mad that someone didn't leave him the house and now its sold and he want's his " cut" -

I don't know - no one knows - this guy has to prove it - threatening phone calls is not the correct play on his part -
