ah, thanks. in that case, jerk or not, as others said below, if there's enough money in the estate.. actually, does that make it that he didn't

contribute anything to the expenses himself? kind of icky, but I guess there's no expectation for a brother vs. child to pay for everything.
(st knows how much I dislike family financial stuff. ugh. I don't think I shared what happened after my in-big-debt stepfather died a few years ago. I'll just say it was more suckity suckness. ughugh.)
