I feel like the Foo Fighters, particularly Grohl, are having a breakout year in terms of how they are perceived.

Just seem like good dudes doing good things who are good at what they do.

Seems like every single time I hear about them, which is often, it's overwhelmingly positive.

The Rick Roll, The performing after a broken leg, The Sonic Highways show, etc.

All good.
