I will let the lawyers chime in, but as a non-lawyer, I see two possibilities

1. Depending how the state statue is written, it may not allow voluntary manslaughter since she didn't actual take the action that killed him (he did)
2. If #1 is not in play and they could charge her with voluntary, the DA could have decided that was tough sell to the jury (if the DA made the charging decision)
