Xavier Update

This hospital has doc work 12 hour shifts, 6am/pm. At the end of each shift, the doc calls all the patient's people and gives them an update. As of 6am he had actually eaten some food on his own along with the syringe feedings he was getting, and he was actually "wanting some attention". Many of his levels were looking much better but he electrolytes were still off. He got transferred to Internal Medicine at that point (that doc has weekends off but had been emailing them).

The IM doc just called (10am our time) and informed me that ALL his levels have gotten in line! They are putting him back on his insulin type and if he continues to do well he may come home tomorrow. She is going to do an ultrasound to make sure there is nothing going on organwise, so I am still holding my breath a bit longer, but I am much more hopeful now.
