write to them! ;) - I'm not sure if the amount is because of what I spent (and the amount I spend on books in general), but it's worth a shot for something!

This is a known issue to us and we are working to resolve this. As an alternative in the meanwhile, I have manually issued a $10.00 promotional certificate to your Amazon.com account, which will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon.com. The promotional certificate doesn't apply to items offered by other sellers on the Amazon.com website and won't cover the purchase of gift cards, sales tax, gift wrap, or additional shipping costs.
