All credit card transactions are handled by this rather bulky hand held credit card device with a pin pad. Your card slides in chip first then you go your a number of steps, ending with you entering your pin (do you know your credit card pin?). Finally, it prints your receipt and you withdraw the card. Every restaurant I've been to used it, as well as cabs.
