Twug...Manny Coto and 2 Star Trek writers came on to run Enterprise in season 4

and they were building to Romulan War. But they had a solid season and they 2nd to final episode is really the Finale...that Rike/Troi episode was a big disappointment and even Branna Braga and the other writer acknowledge they effed up the very last episode.

We almost had the return of Shatner to Star Trek that year. Berman and Enterprise producers had two meetings with Shatner about it. One idea was that he was going to show up as Chef and be an ancestor of Kirk. Shatner said no.

Then they were going to have Mirror Universe Kirk come and fuck with Archer and derail the formation of the Federation in the main universe. Shatner was up for that but they couldn't make the schedules work as he was in the final season of Boston Legal at the time
