I was thinking - its been a long time since I read it - spoils & potential movie thoughts

its a tandem story - its the writer in his messy apt and its the guy/family moving into the house - the house gets creepier - the author is losing his mind - at the end - is it real? or his insanity.
It would not be typical Hollywood by any standards but it could be interesting. I had casted Russell Crowe ( too hold now) as the lead and Leto as the spelunker ( maybe the author?)
hmm. Fassbender?
