after a really-bad-idea campaign that was cancelled ~5 years ago. that was a fail. (google: mac cosmetics rodarte, if you want to read about that.)
they sell primarily to women, and they don't want to offend women. they're known for being supportive of women and women's causes, some kids things, and, of course, aids fundraising, with their viva glam offerings.
as rollo said, there are other brands that have far worse names and are unapologetic about it. I'm not a prude, when context is appropriate; but it's pretty danged icky to see anyone, let alone teenage yters, talking about underage and orgasm and deep throat and even more adult terms because they're the names of cosmetics.
to me, "he said she said" is far less questionable than, say, if it was "no means yes" or similar.
