Seems worth talking about to me. For better or worse, marketing and makeup are things people cae about and have people's attention.

That said, it seems weird that just putting a hashtag on a picture that sounds important is supposed to make the picture important. I can take a picture of my Winnie the Pooh Christmas coffee mug. If I add the hashtag rapeculture, then everyone will be wondering what Eyeeore has been doing to Piglet. Twitter is a bad place to talk about these things, but a perfect place to shout about them, IMO.

"Beer twitter," do you mean the Bud Light "Take no out of your vocabulary" multimillion dollar ad campaign? Yeah, that was just on a whole different scale than this.
