Hoult went from acolyte to party member in one scene seemingly and was then unquestioned.

If a dude tries to kill you multiple times, and then helps you out, there damn sure better be suspicion, and there seemingly wasn't.

What arc of Max's? He tags along, they get to a no-where, they go back.
