Truman, I have heard that flu season is projected to start early this year (late October). So I'd try to get that shot now so the vaccine will have -- (edited)

It's a dead virus, so if you get sick, it wouldn't be from the vaccine.

I can only go by my own anecdotal evidence, but I've gotten a shot 3x out of the last 5 or 6 years and 3x I've gotten sick immediately after

you aren't actually sick though. the true flu is terrible. you will be weak for a couple weeks after. it's worth avoiding. -- nm
