I have tried mcd and jitb biscuits a fewish times over the years, and hit/miss ratio for dryness is not positive. plus calories. and no nooks/crannies/notasmelty-cheese.

I've heard tale that carl's jr. (hardee's) has good fresh-baked biscuits, but I haven't tried 'em; and I have liked popeye's and kfc biscuits when they're fresh, but they don't have breakfast, at least here (plus cj's are not on my usual paths).

ed. because there was an unmatched asterisk, and again because below reminded me of kfc biscuits.

  - even the non-eggwhite version is helpful - it's only ~50 calories fewer than a regular mcmuffin, which is ~300, as is. the fewest for as-is biscuits -- (edited) - b. Oct 6, 14:09 2

Hardees generally has pretty good biscuits so I'd imagine they're good on that coast as well. -- nm - spamlet Oct 6, 13:38
