I mean, if you have one active nothing changes. If not then there's just no point in using one, but it won't be wasted if you do.

Farming exotics should be easy this week, though. The 32 PoE has 3 or more chances to drop an exotic. It should probably talk half an hour or less. The chests at the end should give you enough strange coins to buy another pack of 3oC almost every run. Unless the nerf changed that, then it might take 2 runs.
