Closer to 78k and the Beta analogy isn't perfect. But Tesla owners are "early adopters" and accept -- (edited)

This is an issue *only* if the cars aren't getting better. Things indicate they are, since most of the issues cropped up in 2013 models. They reached 20,000 sold that year, so about twice as many sold since, with fewer issues.
