In response to "Information about food and how to eat healthily is easily available, but getting touchy-feely and clubby keeps people in the program -- nm" by Roger More

the social/community part, but some of what they've tried has been a turnoff for many - attempts at teaching NLP and other methods by people not

really knowledgeable about them. in particular, some of them can get really personal; and, depending on the group, it can get super uncomfortable, too, with no one wanting to share - that can counter the positive social aspects.

in my experiences, *so much* depends on the group and who is leading. it can be interesting and motivating, or it can make you sit and wonder why you are paying for having your time wasted.

a mix of info., tools, and social is ideal; but it can be really hard to find that.
