A good thing for Democrats if they want to start picking up votes is to stop calling everyone that doesn't vote for them stupid or evil. -- (edited)

They have a prime opportunity to pick up voters with the hard right move of the GOP and they keep wasting it with posts like that.
You're not going to convince somebody to come to your side by demonizing them first.
And to your edit, you're rationalizing. Oh, they vote against their economic interests but that's okay because they've weighed their options. The other side does the same thing because they're stupid.
