1) can't argue that - I wasn't paying attention enough to it to argue.
2) I don't think the mission changes, until Rick tells him it changes. If anything, this continues to show an interesting character progression for Darryl. And I think the show has shown that potential danger can be freakin' insanely awful. These people have no idea what even to be afraid of at this point.
3) The Morgan Episode does something that I don't think has been done before in the series. Once you watch it, let's talk about it in the context of this episode.
4) I think it boils down to the W's being batshit insane. But I take your point.
5) All hell appears to have broken loose. There's chaos. Everyone could die in a 10 min trip. I will grant that the broken ankle and gunshot were easy dodges
The show constantly shows you the danger. It goes to the mindset of Rick's group (and the audience). Most of the people who watch the show and haven't read the books watch absolutely expecting the most horrific things to result of a new element being introduced. Once you watch the next episode I'll give you another example.
I don't disagree with some of what you've said. My tolerance is higher, I give them more leeway because I think they've corrected some story telling flaws and I allow for imperfect actions from the characters.
