And here I thought I was being the strict task-master whipping these mostly teenagers into shape. We've got standards to keep, people! Kelvin even sought me out at box office after his shift just to shake my hand and say good night. Who does that?? "Hope to work with you again," a common thing they tell me. Part of me was looking forward to going mad with power and putting the fear of God into them, gosh darn it!....
Nah. Actually been having a lot of fun showing people the ropes (hey, it is a fun place, and I know they're making shit wages). I mean, if your job at a time is to watch a trailer, at least enjoy (or make fun of) the trailers! If your job is to sell a lot of silly concessions, why not crack a joke or otherwise make sure the guest is glad to be there? It's easy to run out of fucks to give while on the job, so why not enjoy the fucks you have? That's what I say.
