This was after Titanic made $1.3 billion outside the US. That's a 50/50 split or so for both films from domestic to international. Whereas most blockbuster films sit around a 2 to 1 ration for international compared to domestic. I just don't see where you find evidence that the much larger audience for these films is overseas.

It'll be huge, but no way it gets to $2.8 billion.
