In response to "b. & Meg, Project Runway. based on the scenes for the reunion show this week, many of the losers are gonna be loud, crazy, insulting & childish -- nm" by Peglegpete

related, mara, from b2 - thanks for that write-up. I actually read ew's recap and some comments (not fineable - often decent there, in my -- (edited)

experience); and pretty much everyone who commented in the first couple dozen posts was as appalled as I was, and for the same reasons. similar for a handful of other recaps I skimmed. that linked one is different, of course. not that the writer's opinion isn't valid, just interesting when there's a minority opinion and you found it. :) -

I wasn't saying swapnil didn't deserve criticism that ep., it was the way it was done and without our having been shown more to back it up. in multiple eps, including the one in question, he made multiple garments and not-so-simple ones - that's not so lazy, it's fast, which hasn't been criticized in past seasons. to me, and maybe it stood-out as I have watched the season in batches, the later super-negative comments about him came out of almost nowhere. the escalation from some smoke breaks to beyondbeyond was just odd. as was zac's comment a few eps back, suddenly negative after weeks of swapnil being on top?

it was also ignored by Tim that swapnil had a perfectly fine leather shirt in the ep., right behind him for part of the reviews; but his person said she'd never wear it - even though it fell in line with what she requested. there seemed to be no pleasing her; so he went with a third choice, and it was shoddy.

earlier in the season, with the team challenge with paint, we were shown him giving high quality input to other members of his team; but he was never given judging praise for that - I wondered at the time why that was, and now I think it's possible that was part of the set-up.

ed. to fix typo and add zac comment after I remembered it.
