he was "in" the first ep and then "high" five weeks in a row... and then "in" before he was "low" and then out.

for that escalation, we should have seen repeated examples of him being lazy and then throwing something together and getting away with it, should have seen tim first give his usual tough love, should have seen other designers giving confessional criticisms of him for multiple eps; but those were not shown.

also, the other competitors seemed shocked at the escalation, too, which may have been telling. (also odd, tim's upper lip and chin area around his mouth came across as very red during the ep - probably unrelated, but it's the other thing that stood out to me.)
