IIRC, its the flicking of the light switch is the problem, you can have a light on, but you must turn it on before sunset and leave on all next 24hrs

cleaning up a mess can be a problem, but at Chabbot House near UCLA there ws spill in a passageway that could be a problem so the rabbi said that if these paper towels should happen to fall on the floor and perchance absorb some of the mess, its incidental.
not sure how the opperation of the refer compressor would be ok,
