yep. we're also being offered aflac critical illness insurance - $361 a year for 20K payout

you get 100% for things like a heart attack or stroke or some cancers - only 10% for skin cancer (I've already had a spot, and am at risk for more - I don't think they'd give me anything for that).
I think since this is the first time it's being offered, there's no evidence of insurability (health questions) needed. there would be if I chose it in future years.
