Yeah, he'd make more in FA and this will likely be a good deal for the team. I'm sure he was very happy to get that deal from his hometown team.

I'd take less than what I was worth if it was my hometown team. Well, not mine since they're the richest in the game. ;-) I'd like to see them be smarter with that money.
In the end both sides are happy and the fans are happy.
