If so, you can come real close to grilled flavor by pan-frying and then broiling steak. I've done it several times over the past few months.

Season the meat, rub with olive oil. Heat oil in pan, add butter, pan fry meat over medium heat until browned (3-4 mins)

it depends on the kind of steak you're cooking - if you google steakhouse method plus ribeye or filet mignon, for example, you should find recipes.
