my only criticism (which may not be totally fair, i admit) is that the "story" is less of a focus than on the detective work of the team -- (edited)

the abuse victims themselves (although powerful in the few scenes that they do have) really are given little actual place in the telling of how the reporters put all the puzzle pieces of the abuse scandal together
