there is thought-provoking content in the mix, and some downright touching parts, even; but she also smushes things to fit her premise and such, which annoys me enough to have me multitask it.
there's a particular kind of writing that's become increasingly popular - sort of a super-serious and weighty, mixed with purposeful touches of humor - that I find harder to plod through than serious-topic professional journal articles. oy.
