:/ I got one of those calls the other day, guy said he was from "windows" and they'd detected a lot of suspicious activity from my pc.

(of note, he didn't say microsoft, so maybe worried about being sued but fraud is a-ok?; and I haven't even had a windows system open at my house for a couple of months.)
I said something like, "no you are not from windows, and no I have not had suspicious activity. I appreciate that you have to work and suggest you consider seeking a different job where you don't have to lie to people for a living." he didn't say anything. ;p
