Green bean casserole (Alton Brown's recipe)? Looks great.
But my annual variation on a basic port cranberry compote may have just become magical. I tried it this year with a combination of a diced Pink Lady apple and a diced Asian pear in place of one of the three 12-oz bags of fresh cranberries, and ... God in heaven ... I don't mean to brag, but it is damn good.
Now I can't wait until tomorrow.
